In contemporary art, the artist doesn’t act as a creator in the traditional sense. By studying the products of civilization, they become professional viewers, through whose eyes people see familiar things in a new way.

I grew up in an industrial area of ​​Samara, which sprang up around a plant developing peaceful space and building launch vehicles, the daughter of an engineer and a leading technologist. So, throughout my childhood, I was surrounded by conversations about space as something accessible and ordinary. Now this theme permeates my work and develops organically.

I explore the era of virtual reality, attempting to convey the feeling of the individual’s dissolution in the information flow. High technology, human vulnerability online, their internal and sociocultural contradictions, and space as a refuge in which everything else becomes less important. But this is only an illusion, because we don’t fully understand what this unexplored space conceals. I work in the genre of contemporary realism, primarily creating my projects using figurative painting and graphics, complementing my classical medium work with individual objects made from various materials.
